Oral history interview with Thai Vue [sound recording] / interviewed by Charles Lee. 1994.

Vue discusses his life as a Hmong in Laos during the Vietnam War, his family's escape to Thailand, life in Thai refugee camps, and immigration to the United States. He describes raising his children and adjusting to life in Madison and La Crosse, Wisconsin. He details the process of cultural assimilation, his education and job training, and his association with the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association in La Crosse. He also discusses his successful campaign to serve on the La Crosse school board.
